Have you ever wondered about the cardboard cutouts at sports stadiums.

You may have noticed cardboard cutouts in the stadiums at Super Bowl and other sports.Sometimes these are all that is in the stadium;other times real people are intermixed. It turns out you can get your own cutout in the stadium for about $100. You also get entered in a contest. They’re actually pretty cool to look at.

It really is. They had these during a figure skating competition, and one competitor said it was a bit unnerving to see Peggy Fleming not taking her eyes off her, rather than move like she would if she as there in person.

@paigea Well, it’s a still photo, so it doesn’t change expression. Some stadiums have people from home on a screen in the audience virtually. That’s pretty cool.

In some states those cutout are medical workers that they put in the stadium. Like tonight’s game those in the stand have been vaccinated and are medical workers watching the game.
