Anyone know of any good Friendship apps?

I was wondering if anyone can recommend any good apps or websites to meet friends in my area. I'm talking about platonic friendships rather than dating or hookup apps. I know that sometimes people use those types of sites to meet just friends, but I don't want any of the trouble that comes with dating apps. I have tried meetup.com in the past, but didn't really connect with many people and looking on there, there just isn't a whole lot of groups that I am truly interested in for my area. This pandemic has been rather lonely and boring and it is so much harder to meet people organically. People aren't really going to bars and things like that so much currently. Has anyone had success with any sites that I may not have thought of??

Friendship apps are more casual, so I have used a few. Have you tried Snapchat? It's very visual and kind of useful to meet new people without actually meeting them in person. There's also a few others my mom's friend has tried to invite me. I think it's called Skout, and it was very new when I used it. It can be very useful to find new friends but if you're active on it. There was another one called Badoo that was filling up my inbox.

I don't want to use snapchat. I don't want to receive explicit pics.

@_sketch_ Yeah, then don't. You have to first already found a friend that you trust before sending them pics. If you receive explicits, you should report them. What about Skout and Badoo? Do you think they can help you?

Bumble BFF. Our top pick – Bumble BFF works like Tinder or “ordinary” bumble, but for making friends.

Where I live there is a site called Nextdoor. It should be accessible nationwide but it is a good site for groups and meeting people as I have seen others on there meeting and so on,,yes platonic not hook ups.

I just know Tinder as a hookup app and I don't want to deal with so many of those type of advances.

I want the opposite. If I never date again, I don't care. If I don't make any friends, then I'll be lonely.
