While America was in turmoil about the shameful insurrection instigated by its own commander-in-chief, across India marched the farmers rising up to voice their sentiments about impending laws that will surely impede them of their livelihood.
In a world beset by pandemia, infuriating the farmers is the worst thing that can happen. To hell with the economy where only the capitalists grow richer. Let all businesses be put on hold. But farming - the only industry that gives man food on the table, don't mess it up.
To demonstrate this problem, just look at the failure of people with their urban gardening this pandemic year. How successful have you been with your crops. Honestly, I only harvested 3 cherry tomatoes, a few Romaine lettuce every two weeks. Only the alugbati and the kangkong flourished.
Guys, if you don't want to go hungry, support the farmers.
Since November 2020, thousands of farmers have been on strike protesting new laws they fear will drive them out of business. But why and who are they? Please...

Farmers suffered a lot in the United States because of Trump immigration law. They had to throw vegetables because they had no workers to pick up the veggies and fruits... now many American complains because of the rise in prices. What did they expect? Cheap labor only comes from cheap countries.

I put the farmer and fisher folks to heart. They toil every single day to put food on my table.

You are not alone. But just in case, try to plant spinach leaves or camote tops. These vines grow abundantly and can fill the hungry stomach.

Lands should be given to the farmers instead of the capitalists.

This is a very interesting topic. Farmers did not even make it on the radar of many children as a viable choice of occupation. In Indonesia, young people are finding it very hard to make a good living out of farming.. It is predicted that there will be no farmers left in our future, because the land is expensive and people are being replaced by machines.

What I am worried about is how expansive the real estate has turned the agricultural lands into mega cities. The rice and corn fields are slowly being deleted from the landscapes.
