Photos from the trekkers' ride

We took photos at a horse trekkers’ event this morning. There were only seven riders as one West Australian region is in lockdown because of COVID. The restrictions will be lifted this evening but too late for members in that area to join the ride.
We parked ourselves ready to take photos of the trekkers riding across the bank of the dam. At this point, I realised I had my shirt on inside out!
We then went ahead of the riders and took more photos of them going up quite a steep hill before they went back across the dam and on with the rest of their ride. This section was ridden purely and simply so we could get some good photos – or so we’re all hoping.
Photos taken in the bush are usually unsatisfactory – too much sunlight and shadow. We also like to have the sun at our backs so the riders’ faces are in sunlight, not in shadow. So finding an ideal spot from which to take photos isn’t always easy.

In India, we would not find such places easily. There are the North Eastern states with a lot of untapped and undisturbed beauty but very far from the capital city or other Northern India parts.

No matter how sophisticated a camera is the sun will always interfere. And Vince did not notice your shirt too (lol)

There wasn't much to say it was on inside out although there was a front placket thing but I had the camera round my neck and was holding it about where the placket was. I also didn't get that close to anyone. And no, Vince didn't notice but then, he's just a husband.

No, I wouldn't think so. At least you were able to get some photos, though.

As long as you're enjoying what you're doing, that's the important thing.@JudyEv

@kaylachan Exactly. When it stops being fun, we'll stop doing it.

The photos look great. They do capture the spirit of riding and I do not know why but that water body reminds me of a school picnic that we had long time back- some 26/27 years in fact!

Yes there were a lot of trees and a small water body- may be a big pond but I do not even recall the exact place. It could have been on the outskirts of Delhi.

Did Vince have to yell at you to put your shirt back on, Judy?
Nice photos... Uhm... why are there tires in the water?

@JudyEv I should have known... *shake my head*
Oh, okay... we try to keep things like that out of the waters here. (I've seen them throw Christmas trees into the waters to provide homes for aquatic species here.)

He hadn't noticed. He's a man and I'm his wife. 'Nough said. The dam is quite long and in really windy weather there are choppy waves up to 2' high which eat away at the bank. The tyres help stabilise the bank. Tyres are sometimes randomly put in the dams to provide homes for marron (freshwater crayfish).

Nice pictures
I think the holiday I'd most like to go on would be a horse trek through yellowstone park for a week or so with camping out at night
