Celebrations changing

Kenya

If asked "How's your Christmas?" Most people will answer "it was fine?" How about "valentine?" same so long as we are happy, healthy and living. WHO would have thought that such celebrations will come a time when people would not even remember the date its celebrated. This is has been attributed to a number of factors such as: 1.Individualism 2.The high standards of living 3.The scarcity of jobs especially in the cities with many people struggling to fit just like Charles Dawn's observation of survival for the fittest. But to make the world a better planet for the coming generations we need to make it if not equal to everyone at least we make it fair!

Natures law is survival of the fittest, pretty much everywhere not just among us human beings...so, individually we have to strive to make ourselves better and stronger and not depend on others to do so

Very true but leaving a place better than we found it is the law to be embraced

I'm sure that all people in countries where Christianity is the predominant religion know when Christmas is. Valentine's Day is of minor importance and originally celebrated only in English speaking countries. Now it's spreading to other countries, too, because it means business, especially for florists and shops selling sweets and knick knack. I have no idea what the three items you've mentioned have to do with some people forgetting Valentine's Day.

Nature will always be survival of the fit among animals and people also have to survive in a fast moving busy world.

Everyone's idea of fair is different so that's not the best term to use. Having ideas available to everyone helps those that want something better to strive for higher standards. The computer and internet and the knowledge that is available to more people should help with that if they understand how to locate what they each need.

Let us just be satisfied with what we have. Let us not look around to see what others have. Do not place ourselves in a pitious situation. Find ways to alleviate poverty, scarcity. Be an inspiration to start, motivate others. There are those who became a model of fighting poverty, a leader in fighting and defending the rights to voice out their sides to be heard. Nothing is impossible just have a strong faith.
