I really like fried foods such as fried bananas, fried tempeh, mendoan, martabak and many more. almost every day I buy these fried foods, either as a side dish or eaten as is. Fried food is delicious when eaten while it's still warm. Especially if accompanied by a cup of hot tea or coffee. Do you think this food is safe for health? Note : picture from Google.

@Babale I rarely fry food at home. The last was potato pancakes. I may order fried chicken of fried fish when in a restaurant.

@Babale maybe. Never been to Indonesia. We might have similar food but with different name.

Correct. Fried foods are high in saturated fat, so we shouldn't consume them too often. Are fried foods in Malaysia similar here?

Sometimes the oil is unhealthy, it doesn't matter to me. If you feel not well, you can eat less fried foods.

@Babale Depending on the merchant, they sometimes use new oil and it is always cleaned if it is no longer fried.

If I make fried food myself, of course I'm sure it's safer. But sometimes many traders fry food using used cooking oil. So I was a little worried.

It is true. But if we buy food, sometimes we don't know whether it's freshly fried or old but warmed food.
