India has already reported several cases of covid related variants most feared for it being more dangerous and contagious. There are 187 cases of UK variant, 4 cases of South Africa variant and 1 case of Brazil variant as per the information from Indian Council Of Medical Research. We only wish they are well isolated otherwise it will not take time to get this pandemic out of control. At the moment it is well in control. After several days of increase, the cases have started dropping again. 9039 new cases were reported yesterday taking the total count to 10.92 million and 81 deaths were reported taking the total count to 156 thousands. This is quite appreciable considering the cases rise exorbitantly else where in the world. Meanwhile India has completed vaccination of 8.74 million up to yesterday. Still long way to go to achieve targeted number of 300 million. How is covid situation in your country?

@msdivkar Thank you too. We are never sure what has improved as it varies from the morning to the night and so at the moment we are living in the present not really able to plan anything for sure. Its always conflicting news almost all of the time.

It is getting worse. The government is still clueless how to handle this epidemic.

The best equipped medical facilities of rich countries have miserably failed in tackling this pandemic. We should therefore appreciate what third world countries have done in that respect.

So far the official records indicate less number of such variants and well monitored. The problem could worsen in case of some cases going undetected.

That is the fear. The recent news is the people from South Africa and Brazil route their entry to India through gulf countries. That is very dangerous.

The situation is good here really but the variants are a huge worry. I hope they are able to keep those people well isolated from others.
