Your ex-wife was foolish for stopping child support. Start sending it again immediately, by check (for proof). If you go to court, you will be in trouble for not paying support for your children. If you help, maybe she can get her own place. If she's living with family, the court won't care as long as the children are O.K. If she refuses to accept support, send clothes, toys, books, school supplies, and food. Keep records and receipts for everything. Put money in the bank in an account (separate from yours) for your children.

Congratulations for originally doing the right thing! Just remember that your child is still your child. In which case you, the father, are to protect and provide for your child. Regardless of the mother's poor judgement and living conditions (which if very bad, you may want to cite in order to get custody of your child), you still ought to be providing for your offspring. Just do the right thing for your child!

You should continue to pay the child support and document the amount and/or have a receipt booklet. Are your children in good health or do you suspect they are neglected. You can always call the child abuse hotline and they will look into the matter.

That living situation is over crowded to the max but if the kids aren't in immediate danger won't care. Pay child support via a bank account in the kids name if she doesn't accept it but by the sounds she will. Pay by check of get a receipt book and make her sign it before handing over cash. Remember sign then cash.

I would think you would be able to get this taken care of in and maybe outside of court. Like I said before, I would call and speak with one of the court administrators and they will direct you to the proper person to speak with. That situation is ridiculous. I wouldn't think that she would want to put those children in that kind of environment. Good Luck!

How would it look on court on the basis of what? Are you planning to launch some kind of bid for custody?

Go and ask the police or an atondery about what you could do. Mybe she's gone to dss and asked for help again and if thats the case then she has no choice but to take you to court for support for the kids. Dss will take you to court for her. It's houw they work on that one. When this is the case make sure that you mention to them all of the people that are living with her and make sure that you mention the convited fellon part as well. Do you know what he did to go to prision? That would help your case as well and hope that you can provide some type of proof of this to them. That helps. Where are the adults and children sleeping? Thats 8 people i have all that i can do to fit 6 people in a 3 br house..
