It seemed that, for whatever reason, today was a free food day. My boss decided to get us some Joe's Pizza (a local outfit) and some boneless chicken wings for lunch. So, that is what I had for lunch.
The leftovers are in the work fridge.
At the same time, the weather shuttered my wife's job at BJC, a hospital where she works in the pharmacy. They were off Monday and Tuesday due to inclement weather, and yesterday they caught up and filled 800 'scripts, and so her boss decided to feed them.
They had Papa John's pizza and cheese sticks and they had leftovers, but her boss was going to throw it away.
Dawn was like "hell no," and brought it home. So we have pizza and cheese sticks here. Free.
We will have the cheese sticks with dinner tonight. I am making some buttered corn with some braised Fireball whiskey pork steaks.
I seasoned the pork steaks with a drizzling of Worcestershire sauce. Then added No Salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and some ground ginger.
For the braise sauce I put in three shots of Fireball cinnamon whiskey and finished it off with chicken broth to make 1 cup of liquid.
Free food Thursday and Fireball whiskey braised pork steaks. Just a good day if you ask me.

Pork seems to be your favorite meat. I'd not turn down free food, assuming it was good, though when I used to go to Costco with my dad I didn't really try much sample stuff there. He did.

@porwest When I used to go to Costco with my dad he used to try everything and get me to try it all as well but I usually declined.

@porwest I got a pack of 5 chicken thighs the other day. It cost me $3.xx. That's pretty cheap.

Pork really is. I eat a crap ton of it. You can cook it a gazillion different ways, it's cheap, and it tastes absolutely delicious. I have even gotten to a point where I actually prefer a pork steak over a beef steak.
As for sampling, I have never been much of a sampler either. My wife sure likes to take samples though.

It's really nice, last year I have visited the country of Saudi Arabia, to be precise in the city of Mandina and Mecca, the people there are very kind and friendly, they give me food, chocolate, nuts, juice and fruits freely, they even give me free souvenirs along the way, my backpack is always full of food and free stuff, and it happens every day, the people there make my holiday very memorable, one day I needed lip balm because it was so cold and I didn't bring lip balm, I hurried to the shop near the hotel where I live I want to buy lip balm and the guy in the shop gives me by free.

Nice bosses. My sister in law often brings home free food from her job. She scans documents. Some of the reps (pharmacy or insurance?) bring food in to them all the time. She will bring home what is left.
