The Last Supper

Leoranado's painting, The Last Supper, was painted in the late 1590's on the wall of a dining hall of a monestery in Milan. It is quite a large painting, about 15' high and 26' long. It was badly damaged during World War II by bombing of the building where it was painted. It had been partially restored and worth seeing but still quite damaged.

I wish I could have seen it. I was only one day in Milan and did not go there.

I am so sorry that you didn't. It is outside of town center, but not hard to get to. Near it is the opera.

@JWMILLER It is not far from the town center, Santa Maria delle Grazie is very close if you take the underground metro line.

As the wall painting is in my native city, I have seen it many times during the years. It has been more damaged by the monks who "cut a door" in the middle.
