The things that work best for you at Mylot?

Since I have just recently come back to Mylot, I am having to learn the ropes again, so to speak. I know this is not a get rich website and earnings here are very slow but I am wondering what works best for you here?
I earn more money at other websites but I still try to make some time here off and on as well. It will add up eventually. I work the other websites while spending time here as well sometimes.
I reply to discussions, make my own discussions, sometimes share to social media, follow friends, use the like button, etc. I cannot think of the other things right off.
What all do you do here? what works best for you? Is your hourly earnings worth the time you put into it. Mine is growing some but not a whole lot.
Please share your experience with us and maybe our tips will help one another.

I came back here last week after more than a year away. I just come on and off throughout the day and join in wherever there is something I can relate to. It must be FUN! Otherwise it becomes boring and then unenjotable. I feel it is like a home online and it's the only place I am using now.

I was away for a very long time, even years. I don't have a whole lot of time to put into it here but I do what I can. I work from home with other websites to earndecent money from. Mylot is rewarding also but does not what i need to make but I do have fun here and it is different from the other work I do online.I agree it has to be fun and it has to be easy and pay as well or I have to pass it by.

@stephcjh Absolutely! I agree with your last line

@stephcjh Interesting. You can have the videos running while you are posting here or do you have to really watch them?

I think wha works the best is just consistency, being there, and posting and also answering discussions.

I have been gone awhile too, as life gets in the way, and finding other things more important. The thing that works for me is to just be interactive, as that is the key to making money in here. You are right, that we won’t get rich in here, but if we keep at it, we can make a little here and there.

Oh, for sure. I agree. I work with other websites too but it is fun to come here and interact also because the other online work I do is nothing like Mylot but it is fun, easy and earns me more elsewhere too though but I try to make time here as well just to take a break from the other every once in a while.
Glad to see you here with us.

Thank you. I hope to get some good suggestions here also and I hope it helps others find better things that they may like and will work for them as well. I am just trying things out to see what may also work best too. and having fun here also. Seems to help.

Let’s seem I like, fallow those that I have things with a lot of common likes or talks about. Make my own post comment back to all of their comment on my post or comment back to those that comment on my own comments. I try to keep things going for as long as possible this helps me earn more

@ShyBear88 Okay. I am trying to come here every now and then as I get some time away from my other online work that I do daily at other websites too. I am not sure what really works best for me here yet though. Just rolling with the flow for now.

@stephcjh it always seems to help me even if there is a day between responses or so.

I always respond to any comments on my own posts, then visit the commenter's page to read and comment on one of theirs. That way you build a nucleus of friends who you know you can rely on to read your posts. And no - the earnings don't recompense you for the time you put in. I am here because I'm interested in other people - it's good to hear from people all over the world.

That is true too. I like to spend time with the people here also and read their post and see what they have to say on mine also. I am mainly online to earn though, as different as that may seem but I do also enjoy my time here and at the same time do my other work as well online since I have to work to help pay them lovely bills and buy things.

Some days I’m lazy to interact here but myLot grows on you. You come to know little things about people by their discussions/ comments and you store these info up and before you know it, it seems like you really know these people you only met by their user names or profile pics.

I know what you mean. I do so much other work online, I do not have much time to come to Mylot. I have to make money elsewhere also to help us with bills and such. I sure cannot make much here but I do enjoy coming here to take my mind off of my other work and things in life in general or talk about life things and read others posts. I agree that I have come to know many nice people here also and feel like I know part of their lives already too. It is nice to have a place like this to come to and talk about all kinds of things, good and bad.

Though I enjoyed more the longer posts, exchange of ideas, at other sites, they closed down over time.
myLot has survived and that is comforting and reassuring.
I post on topics that interest me and also respond likewise.
So it is more to enjoy the time than the earning.

I understand. I work online with other websites and make money by doing so. I have to do that to help with the bills and buy some extras. I am grateful to be able to do that. I wish I didn't have to be concerned about money also but it is what is on my end right now.

@Shiva49 I don't do any writing other than my small talk here in Mylot. I work with websites that pay me to take surveys, test products occasionally, watch short video clips, complete short tasks, download apps, (which you can delete after you get credit for it) and more. A lot of things they offer is so easy to do. I do spend a lot of time on it each day to make as much as possible but everyone can work at their own pace.

@stephcjh I am now retired after forty five years of working.
Though some earning would help, it is not easy on online sites.
I don't like to be tied down too.
I recall one site did promise much but it was more of cut and paste, tweaking other posts etc.
I had mentioned I was a qualified finance and investment guy but they wanted me to write time bound medical topics! And they were abusive in the end while I was the one who should have been so!

I'm also gone for more than a year or 2. Just checked it out right now, if the site is still working. I'm glad it's still here and my account is still active .

@123TikTalk Right. I have seen my fair share of websites over the years that do not pay at all. I am joined with nice ones now that have paid me for years. Glad everything got worked out for you.

@stephcjh I wasn't expecting it. As I also have forgotten and having a hard time recovering the password of my PayPal account that I used to get payment from online jobs, but I only have 6$ left there so I did not care anymore. And recently I was able to recover. And the first thing that I remember was that Mylot was the first legit earning website that actually paid me

The best thing I can do here is to interact with others. And more importantly, interact with others in a way that encourages them, and almost FORCES them to interact with me. Because I am not paid on what I provide. I am paid on how other members respond to me.
What I try to do, whether it is responding to comments on my own discussions, or responding on other's posts, is to engage a conversation that cannot be easily closed.
It is an entirely silly analogy. But someone posts about eating a hamburger. I can simply respond, "that must have been good." Most likely I will get a like, but nothing more. But if I ask them what they put ON the hamburger, I have almost forced them to do more than simply like. I have forced them to tell me what they put on their hamburger. And I get paid for their response. Not my question.
To go one step further, they respond with "ketchup, mustard and a slice of tomato." I respond back with another question.
"Have you ever had bacon on it? Oh it's so good."
They almost HAVE to answer me.
Doing it this way I can actually write less posts, and even respond to less posts, and still make more money. And even though the money is not the primary aim...
It still works and it still adds up, and I make MORE MONEY this way as a result.

That is very true. That is what I try to do also but sometimes you run in to a few people who do not reply on their own posts which actually makes it bad for us and them at the same time but I don't dwell on it. I just move on and try to converse on other posts with other members. That is the best way for me to do it too.

I just try to share a few of my own discussions, reply to comments, respond to other's posts...etc. I do best when the conversation can go on for a while and not just end after 1 or 2 replies lol

@MommyOfEli2013 Right. I agree because then you have steady conversation going on back and forth with no down time. I may not reply right away at times because I multitask with working online and using Mylot as well but I do get back as soon as possible without just dropping or ending the conversation unless it is just not going anywhere further.

@stephcjh Yes most people don't continue on the conversation it seems...and that doesn't help for sure. There are maybe 2-3 people that I usually ending up having long conversations with and that is what is the most fun

I don't earn a lot of money here, but I really come on just for fun, when I need entertainment, to see what others are up to. Being a frequent commenter and discussion starter both seem to be important. And, to keep up on your notifications.

I agree that it is fun here and it is different from the other online work I do that I earn money from. I am not really here for the money either as it doesn't pay all that much but it does add up and easy to do.

Just have fun and join in on discussions. That is all that there is to it. The more active you are the more you'll see your earnings add up from people liking and responding to your discussions and comments.
Glad you decided to come back!
