Foggy morning at Auckland Domain

It's Sunday today and I woke up very early and took an early bath after which I did the laundry. I was planning to harvest the leafy lettuce and the buttercrunch lettuce so they won't be dry. Besides, the last time my daughter asked me to harvest some lettuce to give to her friend, my neck was aching because the noonday sun was so hot.
As I was waiting for the washing machine to be done with the laundry, my older daughter asked me to go with her to fetch her younger sister from night duty at the hospital (7PM to 7AM). She wanted me to come with her so we can have an early morning walk at Auckland Domain before fetching my younger daughter.
We left at 6:15 and when we arrived at Auckland Domain, the park was very foggy. We had a fairly good walk before proceeding to the hospital to fetch my other daughter.

@sunrisefan Hihihi yup.. Because it is open and the roof is only a sunbrella (is that what they call it?) and sometimes it also showers inside the mall..

@brokenbee Will that not cause molds on the merchandise of locators in the mall?

I've read that an SM Mall in Baguio is the only mall that has fog inside. Is it true? BTW, here's one more photo of the foggy park which seems eerie :)

@sunrisefan I heard about that on the radio. That was a big one! I do hope you'll stay ok! I can't even imagine the scare of going through an earthquake.

@VivaLaDani13 Thanks for your concern. The epicenter of the quake was on the other side of North Islands and in the ocean. There was tsunami warning on that side but was lowered later on. With quake's strength, I would have thought it must have been felt there in Australia too.

Thanks. We’re okay despite the 7.3 earthquake 4 hours ago. Felt the tremor which woke me up but did not think it was an earthquake. Thought I was dreaming.

The photo is beautiful!
I'm glad you are enjoying, mostly, the time you spend with your daughters. When did you tell me you had to leave? In March, wasn't it?

Thanks. I told you that our interim visa is expiring on March 12. I followed up our apllication for a new visa last week but I was told by Immigration that they are giving priority of action to those whose visas are expiring in one or two weeks. Not that we don't want to go home yet but because my daughters are worried of the risks of travel aside from the long quarantine upon arrival.

@sunrisefan Oh, yes. Sorry, I couldn't remember when in March you were supposed to leave by...
I agree with your daughters... traveling anywhere, especially by plane is still very dangerous. I hope you and your wife will be as careful as you can when you have to leave.

@DaddyEvil Yes and thanks for the caution. Before, it was me who was anxious to go home but now my wife wants to go home too. Her sister ( a nurse in the US but also stranded back home) had an accidental fall and her shoulder had to be operated today. Her brother also had a mild stroke last monthvso there's only the other brother to do the errand of marketing for their 95 year old mother who is beginning to be forgetful and has a 24-hour caregiver.

Yes, I harvested all the buttercrunch lettuce and 4 leafy lettuce. There was too much so we gave most of the buttercrunch and half of the leafy lettuce to the mother of our daughters' friend. Will be harvesting more of the leafy lettuce this afternoon and share them with two neighbors across the street.

maybe your daughter noticed your need to be outdoors, walk and take pictures so now she makes sure you do.
do you not put sunblock and wear a hat to avoid sunburn?

@sunrisefan so are you darker or fairer now after a year in NZ?

@hereandthere I guess just about the same. I get darker a few days after being exposed to the sun longer but goes back to my color complexion after.

Hope you can come back one day soon. Why don't you try applying for a teaching position or apply for a scholarship for masteral studies which I think they're offering.
