I still have a couple of the eggs that Claudia gave me. Today I scrambled them for a Sunday lunch.
Later on, after lunch, my brother came to see me. He brought me a couple of sweet peppers from their veggie patch, some basil leaves, a lot of cherry tomatoes and a bunch of chives.
It seems that everyone is planting something now that they have to stay at home.
I hope that next week I will start cleaning my garden and teaching Luna to behave too.
Do you like to plant veggies at home?

I have never planted a garden before where I lived at when I was married we couldn’t have them. And me and my boyfriend are not home much in the summer so we don’t do them.

I plant herbs - basil, rosemary, chives and thyme - in pots on my balcony. This year I will do strawberries in pots too. They are usually great because they get the sun all day. I put them on the railing of the balcony and they hang down. As long as I see them before the birds do I usually get a lot

@mysdianait Not now. Luna has to have a place to romp. And I´m not taking her out now with the covid.

I have rosemary and some chive. I used to have oregano but Luna found it was a nice place to lie down.

Eva. I know you do. It is not as easy when you live in a big city.

@porwest I don't think most things are hard. If in planters they just need water

I guess it's that time of the year for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere to start planting our gardens! I should get my seeds ordered.

No, now that we're older, it's too much work. Sounds like you have a supply of eggs and veggies!

I have now a small chard garden in the garage. The leaves are too small but I could use some to mix them with lettuce.

Back in Latvia when I had a garden we used to grow tomatoes, cucumbers, and sometimes potatoes as well as garlic. We tried pumpkins one year but that did not work out well,

Zuchinni is very easy too. And Chard can be grown in containers as well as basil.

I am growing some veggies mostly for fun. As I live alone, it is less expensive to but veggies at the supermarket.

@marguicha You have to grow a lot of vegies if you want to live off your own but it's still lovely to grow some of your own at least.
