It seems most people enjoy hugging and giving hugs. Some even love it Of course I am talking about non Covid times. People are not into that these days and are doing air hugs. Not everyone likes hugs though, giving or getting. It kind of depends on how you are raised I think. Do you think that Covid will personally alter the hugging culture?? IF so, that is a shame.

I've never been a hugger even before the covid (unless it's my significant other). I like to stay away from people as much as possible.

It isn't for everybody, but is probably good for your mental health.

I don't hug that much and it depends if it's a close relative, friend or course during non covid times

@snowy22315 sad to see what's happening now, hugging really feels good specially in times like this but we have to be cautious on people to be with

I can be a hugger. I tend to just read a person's body language and decide whether I am going to hug them or not. I have received hugs and been very surprised, but I don't think I've ever been uncomfortable with a hug.

It kind of depends on who is doing the hugging for me.

@snowy22315 I can understand that. Some people hug too much, too tightly or are just weird about the way they hug.
I had an aunt who would tickle me at the same time and I hated it.

@snowy22315 I do. It's so sad I can't hug except in church.

Most people require physical affection, to fill their needs. It's inborn, at birth.

True, but some are selective with whom they want to receive it from.

Yes, before Covid, I hugged nearly everyone I knew. After Covid, I won't even shake hands with people.
