Recently, I was going to write down an idea for a title and lost it before my pen hit the paper (figuratively) very short post)

@CarolDM I keep them in my phone mostly. Eventually I might need to carry a notepad with me but there's no guarantee that it be able to read what I wrote later.

Some things in okay remembering other things it's best to make a note or two just in case and it's not an age thing either as my kids run into it too. I think we're too busy sometimes.

I've changed my mind on a few ideas but sometimes you just need to change the focus and a whole other idea is right there waiting.

If I can't remember the good title but I remember the topic that still works but when both fly out the window that can be very annoying.

That used to happen to me all the time when I used windows computer. I somehow always activated the keyboard command that closed my browser. It doesn't happen to me on Ubuntu.
As an aside, I bought a whiteboard just so I don't "lose" ideas to forgetfulness.

I use Evernote and a different note pad on my phone and should have noted my idea down first. But didn't. I thought I would remember it.
Sometimes I start a part and finish it later too.

@MarshaMusselman I use the note applications on my phone too, but use the whiteboard for times when my phone is already off and I think of something I want to incorporate somewhere.

If I can get some weed barrier down again this year I might be able to invest in more flowers like I've had in the past.

I lose thoughts all the time and sometimes they never return.

Lol, that's a whole other conundrum especially when we move from room to room. And I don't believe they can be blamed in age as my kids have the same problem.

That happens to me more times than I want to admit
Now i have a notepad next to my computer so I jot down ideas as they pop into my head.

I need the notepad before I get to my computer sometimes too.
