Last night my daughter's laptop experience this issue. Her screen suddenly turned green. We try to google and solve the issue but unfortunately we can't. When I connect it to hdmi cable,it will show the regular screen without the green color. When I try to screen shot, it also has a regular screen. I was told that it might be an LCD issue.
I have to call Acer customer service for this later.
how are you all doing?

@rakski Have you tried to restart the laptop, maybe the error will be corrected during the boot system ... it sometimes happens that the laptop messes up by them self but it will not be a problem for the service

@LowRiderX yes, true. And this might cause a big hole in my bank account. I hope the warranty covers it

It could be an LCD issue a wiring issue or it could be a graphics card issue. Based on the description, it's most likely a hardware problem because both screenshots and connecting to another screen bypass the hardware. I hope you can get the problem, resolved. How old is the laptop and how frequently is it used? Have you tried doing a restart?

@rakski Wow, On the plus side, it should still be under warranty. I would defiantly consider getting a hold of someone.

you'd better bring that to the local service center, that would cost a little bit though, if you could or have the knowledge open your laptop that might be an easy fix, might be a loose cable only, try checking out the repairman if he's willing to show you how he fix it so you'll find out how and if he's honest about it too

If you connect it to HDMI cable and it shows the regular screen, it's not an LCD issues, if it was it would be green all the time. Does the screen turn green when you log into Windows? Boot in safe mode and try reinstalling the graphic drives.

Oh no, laptops going crazy around your place it seems. Doing OK, haven't been up too long. It is supposed to rain today so I want to get a walk in before it happens. I think it probably won't start until late afternoon, but the sun is starting to give way to some haze.
