Not quite...

The timer went off (after about 3 hours), and like the recipe said to do, I tested one of the apple chips. It was still soft, so I turned the oven up a bit and am leaving them in for another hour. I guess that the next time I make them, I'll turn the oven up more than the recipe says. At least they're edible, and I'm using up the apples.

I love baking apple chips. Sometimes I add cinnamon.

Ovens vary and you have to adjust the recipe sometimes

So true. And, they sometimes need to be calibrated as well.
Oven not heating evenly? It's a common problem, but if your dinner's in trouble, there's good news. Here's how to calibrate an oven.

Not bad for a first try. Ovens do very so turning up the heat or leaving them in longer than recommended isn't a bad thing. Just be sure to write it down for later.
