Challenging the Politically Correct

I’m not too sure if “challenging” is in accord with the PC movement because the word is key when one is supposed to describe certain situations.
A corpse is now a metabolically challenged individual and one whose mental acuity is in doubt is mentally challenged. A drunk has an alcohol challenge and constipation is now to be described as annuly challenged.
Beyond that, in the U.S., our beloved Congress is set on changing our pronoun structure to exclude the use of gender specific terms like mom, dad, father, mother, Mr and Mrs.
A lot of changes for an old dog I say. Is it time to say enough is enough?
I mean, I have already had to learn how to text and write stupid stuff like LOL when I’m really not and BBL, BBS, CTN and FWIW among other junk.
So, why should I have to learn a whole brand new language just to please about 1% of the population?
If someone is stupid they are stupid and not socially and mentally inadequate. If something is illegal it’s illegal and not a personal disagreement with the law or an undocumented foreign visitor.
There’s a whole lot more I could rant on about but everyone knows what I mean and I think it’s time to go back to a day when we called it as we saw it.
To heck with all the political idiotic changes regarding race, gender, social, physical and mental descriptive inadequacies a human can have and be.
I’m me. I’m a Mr.
I’ m NOT a socially disgruntled individual with a penchant for the past. I just hate PC. Simple.

If you ask me, some people are becoming more sensitive. During the Holidays you might catch hell if you say Merry Christmas instead of Happy Holidays. Some members of a disability face book group I'm a part of, get overly sensitive, if a disabled person does something they shouldn't supposedly bee able to do and get "praised" for it, and called an inspiration. Or, they walk around like the world owes them something because we haven't progressed fast enough in the world of accessibility, ignoring how far we've come since the ADA passed in 1990.
On top of that, Black Lives matter started over a man being murdered by police.
Now you want to change the English language, again, because you might hurt someone's feelings? Grow the f up already.

@BobbyCole Exactly. If you're easily offended by a particular word or phrase, ignore it. The reason two weeks is reserved in the winter season for the holidays, is so that various faith-based holidays can be recognized. Then of course, there's new years. so....
Point is only a handful of people might be offended by a word or phrase.

As a non-denominational Christian minister, the PC standard of saying Happy Holidays is a lesson in hypocrisy.
Our own Congress is very careful to avoid saying Christmas but yet they take a couple of weeks off.
If a person doesn’t believe in a particular faith based holiday, then don’t celebrate it. Simple.
I do not celebrate a lot of faith based holidays like those celebrated by Muslims but I honor those who do to the extent of relieving those who wished to take the day off work.

Same here since the rule of thumb is Keep It Simple Silly or KISS. I always warn my readers if my satire articles bother you, then do not read it.

Yes, I often break through with a little satire or, “sarcastic humor” as it were. I love it but many get offended. Perhaps because that view in the mirror is a bit difficult.
I see though that you’re being a tad careful with your acronym KISS which is possibly how it should be.
If I am in regular company the last “S” is designated as Stupid and when in Christian company the same S is “Saint”.
Perhaps there is a little wiggle room to be little PC as long as we do not go overboard.

@BobbyCole I agree with you that I try to be careful not to use racial slurs since it is offensive.
