I have seen people that are too bad with money management and whenever they have money in plus they tend to over spend or make those purchases which they don't even require or they go for luxuries which make them bankrupt very soon.
I am actually blessed with the savings habit and I do well to never over spend may be because am never with money in plus
Are you good at spending and don't over spend when you have money in excess?

No, I'm not good with money, but Pretty is, so I let her take care of our money.

@vandana7 What about the smart and handsome parent of a good child? You know I fit the first two... and Pretty is beautiful and smarter than I am.
She had to learn from someone...

I was bad with money when I was young, later I developed a habit to save until I also realized and learned that although saving is good, a certain portion of savings should also be invested.

I think we learn over a period. But I also feel it needs to be taught in school. For me history is not as important as money management as a subject in school. What do you think? Why should we not understand such things and right and wrong so that we have fewer cases in courts.

@vandana7 since financial literacy is not being taught in school, it's up to us to learn it via good books like The richest man in Babylon or Rich Dad, Poor Dad. Our present educational system veers more towards study hard, get a good job and retire early rather than save, put up your own business, be innovative and make sound investments. I think big companies like it that way so they would have an endless supply of workers to make them earn more and get bigger instead of having competition

@Butterfingers I mean that I like to spend only to meet my basic needs. I don't believe in show off

I like to think that I am. I always make sure I have a little bit in my bank account each month, just for those in-case moments. It's not as much as I should have, but it's enough for groceries at the store or something like that.

@Butterfingers You are right. Much has changed with age in terms of money management.

There are times when I overspend and I regret it. However, I try to make wise decisions with my purchases and with my savings too. It's been harder for me to do this lately.

@Butterfingers Exactly, we need to learn from the mistakes and find ways to not let it happen again.
