What non domesticated pet would you or have you owned?

Is there a non-domesticated animal that you'd like to own? Let's pretend that it would be totally safe to own such a pet. There would be no fear of diseases or aggression A friend of mine knows someone who owns a pig. It's a house pig and seems to be spoiled. I've seen pictures of her. I know someone who owns a squirrel. Not a Suga Glider or any of the domesticated breeds, but an actual squirrel from the wild. They tried to put her back to the wild, but for whatever reason she would not have survived. A Trash Panda AKA a Raccoon. That's one that I would love to own. I know there are some who have actually domesticated one and have it as a house pet. It's apparently a lot like a cat.

One of my nieces kept a raccoon and a skunk as pets for years. And I think I told you I had a pair of walking sharks, didn't I?

@DaddyEvil You are pulling my leg. They wouldn't survive the air.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Like walking sharks. You know, they can climb out of their tank and walk on the floor. Haven't I talked with you about them before? Edit to add:
Recently, scientists have discovered four new species of sharks that can "walk" in coastal waters around northern Australia and the island of New Guinea.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Maybe a monkey, but that's forbidden here. Perhaps in some countries they do not even belong to the 'wild' animals

Oh yes, I've heard of people owning monkeys. My family used to watch this show about chimpanzees. They were not domesticated, but they were used to people and some were even very friendly.

@LowRiderX I think they would need to be treated a lot like babies. Always with one eye on the monkey.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I talked to one member in whose country they are allowed, in fact there are as many of them as we have cats She say that they are too hard, active, to be considered a pet and they make a lot of mess

@Tina30219 They had them for maybe two years? Maybe less. They had to get rid of them because the neighbor across the road was a curmudgeon.

Aww! That's kind of cute though. My aunt had a goat inside for awhile. I can't remember what breed it was, but they had to nurse it and that was the best place for it.

I think there are cases where it's humane to have them as pets. Like a friend who tried to release a squirrel back to the wild after an injury, but it would not have survived. Luckily the place it was released they were able to monitor it.

Raccoons get into too much mischief for me. I would love to have a grey parrot; but they require constant clean-up and a LOT of attention.

I'd love a parrot too, but yes constant care and attention are needed. My uncle wants a cockatoo.

Growing up my brother would catch snakes or flying squirrels in keep in cages for a day or so, then he would relate them.

I never considered that. A pig would be cool as long as it didn't get too huge. Those Vietnamese pot bellied pigs are cute. I don't think they get too large. I knew some people who had a possum as a pet. It wasn't really very smart though and when it got older it only liked one member of the family.. I don't know how they handled the bathroom activities. I guess it must have used a litter box.

I think a lot of the unusual and non domesticated pets somehow get potty trained. It probably takes a lot of trial and patience though. I think this pig has been house trained, but I don't know the full details.

Oh! There's a newlyish discovered cat breed that's like a smaller panther. It's not domesticated but it's bigger than a house cat. I want one of those.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I am a bit scared of cats. Maybe because I don’t know much about them besides scratching me. My grandma had cats when I was a kid.
