Tornado Watch Just Started

I just got off the phone with my cousin who lives a few hours away. We were talking about the weather. Feels like tornado weather I told her. Warm temperatures, rain and wind since early this morning.
Now I just received a notification on my phone for a tornado watch in my area until 10:pm tonight. I hope it is only a watch and the weather does not take a turn.
Have you ever experienced a tornado or hurricane? I have survived both a few times and hope it doesn't happen again. Nice weather is what I enjoy.

Stay safe! I really hope it won't amount to anything.
I think the worst tornado to hit happened when I was somewhere between the ages of 3-6. I can never remember exactly when because I only have very vague memories of it. My brother had to lay over me in the hall and the house sustained roof damage.

@CarolDM I think living in the area we do helps us have a sense about these things. We don't even have to be outside. Stay Safe!

I don't like the sound of that. Hopefully it avoids the populated areas and your little spot in the world. I have survived many hurricanes. I live in Florida. The worst one was when we were without electricity for over a week. It happened during a time when it was in the 90's.

@CarolDM we never got tornado watch alerts until the past few years. The first time we got one it scared the heck out of me. I didn't think Pennsylvania was prone to tornadoes but I guess when it comes to weather no place is safe anymore. Glad that you didn't get one there

Is it early for tornados in your neck of the woods? We can get them here too. I've survived several tornados and one earthquake.
One of the tornados uprooted two big trees in either side of our driveway around 1991. I had taken one of my kids to my mom's to get a perm and didn't know until I got home that a tornado had gone through town. I noticed how windy it was but was on a mission and didn't think about it.

@CarolDM we had temps the one day when I drive through part of the tornado years back. It was seventies in the morning and fifties in the afternoon.

I hope you're safe and sound. I remember a tornado when I was quite young. We were on the west side of Cleveland and the person that was driving had great difficulty finding a street to drive down because of the downed wires and trees. There was heavy rain, wind and lightning. That much I remember.

Hurricanes, yes unfortunately. We have an annual hurricane watch from June-Nov. Saint Medardus help protect us from dangerous weather, forever,. Thank you & amen.

yes have survived a few. It's the scariest thing and this weather is why I hate Florida so much. Hope it doesn't show. We all have enough problems right now

I just got a notification for a warning in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Pulled up the scanner, and the fire department saying winds pretty heavy but no sighting yet. Hope that’s it for the day.
