Hot drinks can kill the Covid-19 virus?

Some people suggest that we get used to drinking hot drinks such as hot coffee or hot tea every day. The goal is that the Covid-19 virus in our mouths can die. This virus is reportedly not heat resistant. Because if the Covid-19 virus can survive in the mouth for more than 3 days, then it will descend into the cavities in our vital organs such as the lungs or the heart. And after that it will be very difficult to treat. What do you think?

Sounds like a theroy not backed by science. Viruses like dark warm places to breed and grow. I wouldn't recommend forcing yourself to drink something hot, because you're more likely to burn your mouth instead.

@Babale Doesn't mean it's going to kill any viruses that might hang out in your mouth and keep you from getting sick. Whowever came up with that clearly doesn't understand science.

Certainly not a very hot drink, and we usually drink it a little at a time.

Who said, our bodies can only receive a maximum heat of 40 degrees Celsius and the virus might still alive with that temperature.

Thanks for the explanation. It's hard to believe, but if I have a cold, I usually like to eat noodles with hot sauce or meatballs. It helps to get a lot of sweat on my body and speed up healing.

I congratulate you, I hope the vaccine works well. And I have to wait for my turn to be vaccinated, who knows how long. I feel our government is very slow on this.

@Babale whenever you try, please add a little bit of honey too. It tastes bitter otherwise.

Maybe if you put the virus into a really hot drink? But if the drink is at a temperature where we can drink it, the virus will be fine.

I can understand. Reportedly, active smokers rarely get Covid. This is weird.

That's not true at all. We live in hot countries to begin with. Yet, the virus still spreading.

Hot drinks might help relieve some soreness...but I think this theory was debunked by experts months ago.

Utter nonsense. Drinks hot enough to kill the virus would kill the person consuming them too!

No way! A hot drink won’t kill any other virus either.

@Babale Handwashing, social distancing, and wearing a mask are the only things known to prevent getting the virus.

According to the news, the Covid-19 virus is actually quite weak compared to other types of viruses. Easy to kill with soapy water and can not stand hot temperatures. But it all depends on individual beliefs, this is only a form of prevention other than wearing a mask.

Does that mean the virus likes warm places? Thank you.
