Wired or wireless connection?

I'm using both wired and wireless connections. When I'm working I prefer to use a wired connection because it's giving me a stable connection, unlike wireless. Sometimes there are lapses when I'm on the wireless that affects my job unlike on wired connection. I'm using wireless when I'm not working and when I'm going to a different place in my house.

I am using wireless right now. The only time I use wired is when I am at work, using the company's internet.

@tech40 the internet that I use at work is slow, so I can't compare to my mobile connection.

@prinzcy Are they different provider? Are you allowed to request a better connection instead since you're having a problem/

Luckily our wifi is a good one and we get a good strength throughout house. Husband goes for wired when he is in important meeting.

It's good to hear that you're not experiencing any sudden loss or high latency. There are services that can do that but only few can prove it to their consumers

@tech40 It's a trusted brand and they are quick with customer service too. We have been their customers for quite some years now.

@arunima25 We have a lot of trusted brand here too due to the existence for a lot of years. In some places their service are working fine but in some places their working are not worth it. It's kinda hard to find which one is the best provider in my place. It's why I have back up internet just in case.

I guess its kind of an impression that when your on wired connection you do have a stable connection but that might not be true at all. It's just like because you see the cable connection means it's more stable. In my case, it's more on how you will utilize your connection wired will be useful when you don't have the wireless network available but when there is a wireless network available l would prefer it since the availability and mobility is very convenient than the wired.

When I'm in wireless, there are times that my ping are too high or we call it a spike and sometimes I'm getting request time out even though my router is near to my laptop. However, if I'm connected through wire I'm getting single digit of ping and haven't experience any spike

@tech40 Though I am not very conscious about those pings but I definitely know the advantages and disadvantages of both wired and wireless.

Most of the time, wired is a reliable one. And companies prefer wired connections for their employees working from home. I was required to report back at the office because my wireless connection, which is Globe is not reliable.

Indeed. Globe isn't reliable and yes. I also have back up internet connection just in case something happened to my globe. Back up internet plan is very important when you're working at home.
