How Early Should I Send My Absentee Ballot?

We have an election coming up (in Ward 1 of Oklahoma) https://oklahoma.gov/elections/election-info/upcoming-elections.html and they've already sent me the ballot. Oh, there's no chance any of the candidates will be on the Nightly News talking about where they like to grab people; so there's no chance that if I send in my ballot tomorrow, I'll hear something on the news that'll make me regret my choice. But still, I don't want to send it in TOO early. Material sent with the ballot reads: "To return by mail: ... Ballots must be received no later than 7:00 p.m. on election day." That's in about 29 days. I'd say I'd wait 20 days to fill it out and send it right in then. Or would you do different?

If I was a voting person, I would fill it out (or have my husband help me fill it out) and send it as soon as it arrived or within a day or two. With how slow the mail has been as of late, I would give it every possible chance of getting there on time.
