March 8 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today was good. I'm thankful for food. I just finished a delicious supper of cod, broccoli stir-fry, and rosemary and thyme mashed potatoes. Mmmm delicious! I'm thankful for a beautiful day. It got warm out, though I didn't go outside. It was supposed to get to 53. I only see patches of snow outside. I'm thankful for books. I've been reading a romance most of the day. I'm about to gag. Do you want romance? I'm working on my problem child again. I'll give you a romance that won't gag you with a spoon. It is definitely not your typical romance. It's called Love's Illusion. I've been working on it for several years. Romance isn't my genre. I'm working on it to prove to myself I can work outside the box. I'm thankful I worked on Vendetta. I'm getting through a very important scene. Mystery is more my genre. I'm still hoping to finish it by the end of March. We'll see. Okay, that's been my day. Time to get notifications finished. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

Some romance writing is pretty awful.

Yes, it is. I can't handle most romance. It's not feasible. People don't act like that in real life.

@just4him I agree. Most is very far-fetched - not realistic at all.

There are many different kinds of romance novels. There are hot and steamy down to leave it behind closed doors romance. I love romantic suspense. I like a few genres and can't really read the same type consistently. I have to mix it up. It's been awhile since I have read any mystery. My friend just published a cozy mystery so I will read that after I finish this current romance novel I am reading.

@just4him Have to rotate between romance, mysteries, thrillers, and general women's fiction.

Good for you to go outside of your comfort zone and write a romance book. I don't think I would be a good writer, I don't think I have enough thoughts to put into a book. If I wrote mystery/detective would be my favorite. It was a beautiful day here too. Suppose to be sunny and warmer as the week goes along. I am thankful for that.

Thank you. It isn't easy writing outside my comfort zone. You do well with writing your blogs. So don't say you couldn't write a book. I'm glad you had a beautiful day.

Funny, how some of the simplest things can make our day. I have to agree. Good food and good books are something to be thankful for.. I'm thankful for my reliable Xerox copier. I had to copy many many pages of tax documents recently and everything came out perfectly. Also glad I had enough ink to finish the job, lol.

Today seemed to stay about the same weather-wise. So, I am thankful for that. When I went out, it seemed like it was a bit gustier, but wasn't as bad. So, there's that I guess. I'm thankful that George is able to work still. He had hoped to get off on time (6PM) but he's an hour late. Could be worse I suppose. Got the laundry out of the dryer so that's one less thing on his to-do list.

A romance needs to be exceptional for it to find a place on my bookshelves. I have a few. It's good you read most genres.

I'm thankful that I got to see the church service on facebook yesterday. I didn't go to church Sunday so I could go through my uncle's music. I did some more on my diamond painting.

@kobesbuddy I have too. This one isn't a trash romance. It's Christian-themed.

@just4him I've throw a book in a trash can, so no one else could be vulnerable enough to read it!

Glad you had a good day, fish sounds good, and mashed potatoes. I had salmon myself. Sorry that romance is not a genre you enjoy...I like a mystery more too. And best of luck with finishing your book by the time you want!
