This was probably 1989, and I was probably about 16 years old. What an awkward, tall, slanky geek I was back then. Mullet and all. lol.I am probably still an awkward geek, but I will be 48 in June.
Man, does the time fly.
Not to mention my mom, in this picture, who is to the left of me, was probably 39. Younger even than me now.
Weird.
My mom actually found this picture somewhere and posted it on Facebook. But it is so funny to look back and think about how even then, in 1989, how different things were to how they are now.
If I could go back in time and be awkward again, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Time goes so fast, and then you get older and wiser...
But nothing in life is better than when you are young, awkward, and naive.

Actually, you were a very handsome guy and if I had gone to your high school you would have made my heart pound harder every time I saw you,

I would love to be young again, sometimes. However, I would not enjoy reliving all the akward moments.

@porwest Yeah, and it's pretty scary. I had a mullet in high school, and I don't remember it ever looking as bad as it does on the kids today.

Ah, to go back in time again knowing what we have learned from life's experiences. I'd like to go back to those carefree college days where my biggest worry was making that 8 am class.
P.S. no offense but you do look kind of Geeky.

LOL. The mullet is fine with me. I used to love it back in the day even though some people like to make fun of it.
I don't see a geek there at all !!! You look happy.
You have your mom's smile.
I wish so many times that we could go back in time to those days. Things are just horrible now. Mainly all we have left of those kinds of days are memories.
I miss the old days and ways every day. I still listen to the music from back then.
I do whatever I can to not lose those memories in my every day life. I am not up with the times they are now, and never will be. I don't like what things have become.
Hugs

When we are in school we always wish we could grow up fast. But the truth is that now that I'm already 30 years old I miss the time when I was still in school without having to worry about working hard to provide to myself and have enough money to pay the bills in the end of the month. We just see the value of those times when we grow older.
