Did you ever struggle with weight problems?

Since I was a child that I always struggled with my weight. When I was 16 years old I lost a lot of weight but then I gained weight again. And now with 30 years old I still struggle with my weight I tried diets for awhile like eating more soup and more salad and that worked. I lost some weight but once I start to eating normal food even if i don't eat a lot I gain weight again I wish I could just eat normally and don't win weight so fast. It is very hard to worry so much with what we are eating. I didn't try any losing weight pills until today because I'm afraid that they can make bad things to my organism but sometimes I feel really helpless. Right now I lost around 5 quilos because I'm watching again what I am eating but it's been hard for me. Did you ever feel the same way?

After the 40s, generally weight increases. the food has to be reduced in diet.

I believe it’s a tough fight for you, but have you tried to seek the help of a nutritionist?

I didn't try to seek help of a nutritionist yet because years ago my doctor advised me what I should eat in order to lose weight. Like avoid pork meat and eat more chicken and turkey meat, don't drink soda for example. The problem is that sometimes I eat pork meat or drink a soda even if is only 1 time per week I know that my organism will absorbe everything. Sadly I have a tendency to gain weight very fast. Since a month and a half I'm trying to avoid some things so I can be able to keep losing weight. In a month I was able to lose 4 quilos and I will try to keep losing more weight. Thank you for worry and for your advise

Yes, I struggled with my weight for years and couldn't understand why. Then I found what worked for me (Slimming World) and realised that I didn't eat enough and that I was having a lot of 'bad' food thinking it was good. It was all the hidden sugars in things. I lost a total of over 6 stone. I have wavered a little just lately but still kept around 6 stone off for the past 6 years or so. Nothing else worked but making more meals from scratch, and paying attention to ingredients has been helpful. It can be quite surprising how much fat and sugar is in something you'd think was healthy. One problem is a lot of 'diet' products are low fat but replaced the fat with sugar. Some are simply smaller versions of a product so not as satisfying or filling. I eat properly - lean meats, lots of vegetables and fruit, potatoes, rice, and occasional treats. It took me over 30 years to find something that works but I now I'm an absolute advocate and will always say if a person can't lose weight with Slimming World then they're doing it wrong!

@sweetloveforeve I'd honestly given up and thought I was just naturally fat! Discovered Slimming World entirely by accident and not expecting anything so was very pleasantly surprised at how easy it was and that it worked. It's not a diet but a lifestyle change. I hope you find what works for you. If you do choose Slimming World, I don't mind if you want to message me on here with any questions you have.

I too when I was a teenager lost a decent amount of weight. I did it because I was 15 years and I was wearing my Father's clothes and the direction I was heading was dangerous. So I made my mind up that I have to change for me, for my future. I did just that and lost about 100+ pounds. (I'm 29 years old now) I kept it by educating myself and setting new goals. Trying new things healthy choices. As you can see it's easier to see results when you focus on the goal. My suggestion is to focus on your goal once you hit that goal. Make sure you still have control. I believe one of the big things is portion control and time you're eating. Try intermediate fasting. (If possible) For example, I eat anywhere between 12:00pm(noon)-8:00pm Don't be afraid to treat yourself once a week. Have something you really like, but don't overeat of course. I can go on and on about this, but I hope some of this helps.

I am really glad that you could lose weight and kept the same weight until now You are right we have to educate ourselves and put in our head that we need to avoid some things. I usually eat breakfast around 9 something am but i just drink coffee and two or three cookies and eat lunch around 12-12:30 and in the afternoon around 16:00 i eat something small and I was skipping dinner for an entire month. Now I'm eating dinner around 19:00 but I'm just eating soup and a fruit. I'm controlling what I'm eating more now that I'm stuck at home because of the covid 19. When we are home and almost don't move we tend to eat even more so I'm trying not to do that and everyday I do exercise In a month I was able to lose 4 quilos and I will keep going until I lose more 8 quilos. For now if I come back to work in April for example with what I already lost I can feel more healthy and more comfortable about myself. Thank you for sharing your situation with me and for your advises

Always, for like you, I like food. Exercise helps keep weight down too, I found. Since pandemic, I gained 25 pounds. Before pandemic 6x a week I walk 4 blocks a day to & from the library. Library closed, more time to eat, no exercise, boom gained weight. I'm loosing it now.

Yes with the pandemic almost everyone gained weight. I tried to not gain so much weight so I tried to exercise at less jumps and with time I always tried to do more and more and now I'm already doing 500 jumps and hopefully it will help me at least not to gain weight. Now in my country the cases of the virus and deathes are coming down and everything is opening now. Only clubs and bars are still closed and shows are happening with less people but I think that very soon things will go back to normal

I was dizzy because I thought about my weight because I was one of those who quickly gained weight even though I ate a little, even my stomach was immediately bloated and gasped a lot, but the more I come here I start not bothering as long as my body is okay maybe I'll try to start learning accept it. yesterday alone within 3 days my weight immediately gained 3 kg, I was surprised. now trying to diet again

I totally understand you. For example for me If I go to McDonald's today I know that tomorrow I will have 1 more quilo. Actually I tried that years ago just to check and I saw on the scale 1 more quilo. It is so sad because I rarely eat a burguer in McDonald's but almost everytime when I eat I worry that next day I will have one more quilo. And I eat McDonald's maybe 4 times per year. And even if sometimes I feel the need to eat something that I don't eat for a long time if is something fat I avoid to eat it. I gain weight very easily and sadly I always have to worry with what I'm eating. I really hope you can lose those 3 quilos and feel comfortable with your weight again
