Brian Regan claims that Mushrooms are 'the Food Most-Added to Other Foods' ... what about Sugar?

In his latest NETFLIX special, comedian Brian Regan tells us that mushrooms are 'the most-"added to other foods without our permission." I hear that, and I think, 'What about Sugar?' But then I realize, 'Brian Regan HATES Mushrooms, so of-course he notices that they appear in everything against his will! I wonder if he would "make that claim" about Salt or Lettuce or Bread or something else if he hated THOSE?' Or is he right, and mushrooms are used more-often than sugar-etc.?

Do you know who Brian Regan is? I've been a fan of his for almost 30 years.

Sugar, salt, spices, seasonings, sauces and things like ketchup and mayo are classified as condiments, things added to food to enhance taste or to leave a taste. I agree with bread and lettuce being food.
