Saving my Stimulus Check. ($1400)

I'm sure we're all aware of the recent news of the stimulus check being passed. Well, I don't have any plans coming up, maybe do some yard work. It's extra money, so I'm just going to save the money and transfer it over to my savings.
Savings account that's another discussion, but the interest rates are trash right now. Which usually means the banks/government wants you to spend money. (Cycle it)

Some people (including a mutual friend of ours) already have stimulus check deposits pending in their bank accounts!

My check is only going to be $600, and I don't know why. I assumed that everyone was getting at least $1400!

@spiderdust - Hmm...
I understand, I received a letter in the mail reminding me that the $600 they've sent shouldn't be considered as income when filing your taxes.
