Would you like a little vinegar with your coffee?

Let's try this again! So, the coffeepot I bought a while ago, bit the dust already..stupid thing,,never buy the "toastmaster" brand. I went back to using the pot I had stored in the lower cupboard. I was cleaning it out with vinegar before use, and even though I rinsed it out a few times,,,guess what my first cup tasted like? You guessed..it vinegar... I tried to add extra milk and even some sweetner, well to be honest it was butterscotch schnapps..it just tasted nasty out it went. hopefully pot 2 will be better, I will tell you in a minute..Cup 2 much better...ahhh..

That's great. I think I would have ran a cycle of water after the cycle of vinegar.

I carefully wash a few times before using when I clean with vinegar, not a taste that I like with coffee. Have you ever salted your coffee thinking that it was sugar?

@LadyDuck I am sure it was bad. Although I haven't done it, I have heard tell of people mixing up salt and sugar in baking...I bet that would be pretty nasty as well!

No, but then I don't put sugar in my coffee...that vinegar coffee was pretty bad! I will not do that again.

@snowy22315 I stopped putting sugar in my coffee 20 years ago, I did before and salt in the coffee is something really horrible, I cannot forget.

That happened to me when I descaled the Keurig several years ago. I didn't understand why the half and half curdled!

Don't you supposed to boil it a couple of times before drinking it after using vinegar?

Did cup 2 also have butterscotch schnapps in it? If so, I might be able to tell you why it tasted less like vinegar.

No, it is good with butterscotch schnapps. I have a little bit in there now. It tasted like vinegar because there was some vinegar residue in the pot..

lol My mother found a Keurig at house she was cleaning. She fixed and it works. Since I have been going over to my uncle's house on weekends, I have been getting some hot chocolate K cups. Well this morning my mother accidentally used one of my hot chocolate K cup thinking it was coffee. She put creamer and sugar in it.
