I'm Gonna Say This Looks "Wrong," but It's More Like 'I'm Jealous'

I saw this story on CBS Sunday Morning, and I ...

... I don't think I sat through the whole story, but I'm surprised that they didn't mention 'any of the "Crip Camps" across the nation (particularly in Oklahoma, but especially in Texas & New Mexico).'
That shows me how I sorta had the 'wrong' viewpoint of my disability. I survived a TBI, and first learned "recovery" to mean 'healing from "all the problems" (paralysis, speech, dexterity, etc.)'; but I don't know why I've been going to 'Crip Camps' for YEARS and haven't corrected the definition of "recovery" to 'learning to get along with the problems you have as if you'll have them for the rest of your life.'

@mythociate Acceptance and find ways to go out and be beneficial and productive for yourself and to others. Love and be loved. Be inspired and inspire others. Contributing in a small way of what we can is a big return of happiness.

All the camps I've been to--however--are more like 'groups of uninjured therapists & ministers "sympathizing with" us disableds (mostly invalids) so they don't feel guilty for the lush lives they're enjoying.'
And then, when camp's over, they go back to their lives which don't include me enough; even though I try to be there for them (which usually means they have to 'come pick me up' to bring me along ...)
