Did anybody see Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest? I liked the fighting scenes and the characters but I don't think it can compare to the original. What are your thoughts on Dead Man's Chest? What would you have done differently if you were in charge of producing it?

I agree; not as good as the first, but still enjoyable. I can't wait for #3 either - it really makes you wonder how they're going to bring some of the characters back to life for the third part. Then again, I guess anything is possible for Captain Jack Sparrow :-)

I watched most of it, but I was at work so I missed some parts. I work in a video store. From what I saw the first part was much better. I didn't like the "merpirates" or whatever they were supposed to be. I will watch the whole thing but I doubt it will be as good as the first one.

I haven't watched it, not yet. i just ordered the dvd a few days ago and can't wait to watch it! it was a blockbuster, so I'm sure it's going to be an enjoyable movie to watch. i watched the first movie and liked it a lot.

I have not seen it, but really want to. I have heard its not great, but how can it not be great? The first one was excellent, and its got johnny depp. I almost bought it at the store today. But I think I will rent it first.

Actually I wouldn't have done anything different. I wasn't as happy with the sequel as I was with the first one, but I took into account that sequels, ESP. middle sequels in a trilogy are more like space-holders... they carry the story further, a little bit, but mostly they are wrapping up details and setting up the next film.
But does that mean I didn't like it? Heck no! I liked it a lot. I just liked Legend of Jack Sparrow better.
I am a RABID fan of POTC. Can't hardly wait for #3!
