Not Going To Outsmart ME, Fool!

I vape. I think I have mentioned that a time or two. And don't get me wrong. I am not saying it is healthier than smoking cigarettes. But since I took up vaping probably going on 5 years ago now...
I don't miss smoking.
Somewhere along the line certain hotels decided to add "no vaping" to their "no smoking" policy.
I disagree with it.
A cigarette smells bad. No two ways about it. And it is damn hard to get rid of the smell.
But I am vaping (now) a strawberry shortcake. How can that smell bad? And it doesn't linger anyway.
The room I am in seems to have an overly sensitive smoke alarm. I have run into this a few times. EVEN THOUGH I blow 99% of my vapor out the window.
It went off. Briefly. Only for about 2 seconds. I hadn't even vaped that much.
So, I fixed it. I stuck a rag over the smoke detector. It won't get me. It will not detect me.
You are not going to outsmart me, fool. I am vaping and you can take your policy and shove it up your butt!
Gosh. I am 47 and feel like somehow I have reverted back to my high school days when you'd try to sneak a cigarette in the boy's room. Which is a silly way to think of it.
When I was in high school we had a smoking area. lol

When I was young, we could smoke in airplanes.

@porwest In my house I only had 2 NO rules. No smoking in the bathroom. No smoking in the kitchen. And I still have a wide collection of beautiful ashtrays.

@marguicha Hmm. Why the kitchen and bathroom? Do you still smoke?

My vape uses pods and they have a smokeless pod.

@porwest only when we’re in a place where smoking is not allowed. We can argue, this one is smokeless. We win and that’s more fun.

Hubby vapes a Juul and that has no smell. But some vapes actually do smell. Often a very sweet smell. Yuck! Hate those.
He was excited when he got his first Juul and gave up smoking cigs. But that's probably worse than smoking cigs. And you can abuse it. You can sit there and vape for hours.
Why'd you cover the smoke detector with a towel?

@porwest But with a cig you smoke it for a few minutes and that's it. With a vape you can suck on it (or whatever the verb is) for hours. Granted you can just light up cig after cig after cig for hours but a person would be less likely to do that I think. Also, isn't vaping one pod same as smoking a pack of cigs?

@porwest Whatever the real truth is, it is better not to do it.

@lovebuglena Not doing it at all is certainly the better option. But I really enjoy it.

I don't know if I agree that second hand vapor is harmful like second hand smoke is. You get one chemical when you inhale second hand vapor. Nicotine. And not even much of it, because most of it is absorbed in the lungs of the person vaping. When you inhale second hand smoke you are sharing in about 4000 chemicals.

Glad you found a way to enjoy your smoke without the smoke alarm going off. My smoke alarm is between my two rooms on the wall in the kitchen and as long as I don't burn any food it stays quiet,
