NOT going to the Halifax today.

Today I've got to go and get my repeat prescription from the health centre, and I have a cheque I need to put into my building society. I was going to walk from the health centre to the Halifax to put my cheque in. So I googled when the Halifax closes today and it said 2:00pm. Seeing as we won't be going down to the health centre til 2:30pm, I guess I won't be going to the Halifax today after all!
My Mum has to get her repeat prescription too, but she gets hers from Boots not the health centre, so we'll still walk into town from the health centre this afternoon to go to Boots. We just won't be going to the Halifax!
It doesn't matter, I've got plenty of time to put the cheque in. They give you 6 months from the date of issue. So I'll go another day to do that.

I pick up my prescription meds from my doctor's office. They are cheaper through the doctor than they are through the pharmacists here.

@sharonelton I see... We pay anywhere from $4 to hundreds of dollars per prescription. I have 5 prescriptions and pay a little over $100 for them for three months worth of pills.

Checks have that life span before they become stale and you won’t be able to encash anymore.

I've got plenty of time yet though. Only got the cheque in the post last week. It's a refund cheque from something that was out of stock. I've got til September to put it in.

@sharonelton That’s good then. You don’t have to rush.

@toniganzon No. I don't like rushing. I had a cheque come once that had been delayed in the post by quite a while and I had about a week left to put it in my account! I just managed it by the skin of my teeth!

Since it's still 6 months ,you can postponed it for a while. But make sure you do it soon. Sometimes such things slip out of our mind and we totally forget. Time flies fast

I hate picking up my prescriptions. They always forget something but they're the closest pharmacy to my wifes work so we have to stay with them really. There's always an insanely big queue in Boots and don't get me started on Asda.
