I came back Sunday evening and my plants welcomed me home. Monday morning i woke up around 5am as i couldn’t wait to see how the rest of my plants were doing.
And i got a lot of good surprises. It’s not only one pot of my peace lilies that is giving me flowers but all three of them. The other two pots have a small flower bud and it got me excited. These three pots are my outdoor peace lilies. The one inside the house will never flower. Why? Peace lilies need the sun to flower. But they can thrive indoor and even in low light but they just won’t flower. I don’t mind though as i love its green foliage.
And it’s not only my peace lilies but the other adenium i have has three buds. Three! Oh, life is a joy!
I love being a plant parent.

I too love being plant parents. You can expose them to sun every now and then to see if the indoor ones too flower. They did for my friend.
My garden looks happy.

@arunima25 Healthier than those that are outside. That’s what i love about peace lily. They can thrive in low light and give you beautiful foliage but they just won’t flower.

@toniganzon How about the foliage? Do they stay healthy without sunlight?

@allen0187 snake plants though is one of the best plants to keep in your home as it’s the only plant that gives off oxygen 24 hours a day.

@LadyDuck True and i must cut the flowers coz the nutrients will go there when it could just go to the leaves. Their flowers are really not attractive at all. It just looks like a green stick.

Same here. I even cut the flowers when it’s not as pretty as the leaves. Like this anthurium I’m going to attach. The flower looks like just a tail and not pretty at all. So i cut it.

@toniganzon This plant is beautiful and I agree that some flowers are not at all pretty and even do not go well with those beautiful leaves.

You can have air plants like tillandsia. They're non-toxic to the pets plus you can hang it where your cats won't reach them. They give off pretty flowers but they flower only once in their lifetime. After they flower they will give you pups. You don't need soil for that plant too. Sometimes all you need is a string. And you only need to dip them in water for about 5 minutes once a week.

Yes but I also like the one of them doesn't. I love the foliage of my peace lily.
