So last week my 8 year old learned that it isn’t the best to wait till Thursday to complete all of his work packets for school. He only has in person two days a week and the other three are at home online or in packets.
So he choice to do his packets on the day before in person. Okay not a problem. He did his online parts everyday. But when Thursday came he spent most of the day complaining about how he had to finish his packets and how he is losing playing time outside.
Pretty much I looked him in the eye said stop there whinning. You could have on Monday or Tuesday did half of those packets they are marked by the day you could have done Monday-Tuesday or Monday-Wednesday for one part and done the rest today. This is what we call time management! As you get older you get more homework and you learn to try to balance those out. Your teacher want you to have time for school and fun so they broke it down so you could but it’s up to you how much work you get done outside of school before you go play.
Now he did half of his home work already this week today and the rest he is don’t kn Thursday. Smart boy learned his lesson.

It is nice to know that kids learns how to balance their time just to give time for their play time

It’s something we all have to learn in our life time.
