Bye-bye, old friend!

We have been in this house for more than 30 years, and the two apples trees were here when we arrived, so we are a trifle sad to see them go, but it had to happen and today was the day when it did. They no longer produce decent fruit and they are in the way of where we want our new pond to go as part of our garden makeover. Needs must!

The bed of blooming daffodils disappeared this morning! It's a good job we picked plenty that were still in bud yesterday!
