Alot of us don't think of domestic violence as a threat to our lives. Most times we don't have the support of family members or any support whatsoever to tell us that being in a relationship where your life is at risk isn't good for our health. We think that because we love someone that we have to go through these things. Love isn't allowing someone to use you as a punching bag or to abuse you, love is being kind and caring for each other. Making sure that nothing bad happens to each other. Helping each other grow in happiness. If we had more talks about domestic violence to our young girls and also boys I believe that the rate of domestic violence would be low. Let us talk to our kids/young adults about what we must and must not allow people to do to us especially in relationships. Just like we have the sex talk with them lets talk about the do's and dont's in relationships. We will call it The Relationship Talk. Let's teach them that loving someone does not mean allowing them to abuse or kill us. *Our lives matter*

Hello and welcome to myLot. Enjoy the site! The first thing you should do is to read the Guideline Rules so that you know what is allowed or not on this site. Read around, Like and Comment as much as you can to make yourself known to the community.
Although it's not obligatory, it would be a good idea to add the name of your country to your account page to make your posts more understandable.
This is where you will find out what kinds of behavior are accepted and unaccepted on myLot. When in doubt, remember the Golden Rule!
