Good morning and welcome to Friday. For many it's the end of a week of work, for others it's another week of unemployment, and others are recovering from COVID. So I thought I'd post some random thoughts I had this week: South Beach, Miami, Florida - I've seen quite a few pictures of young adults doing their spring break parting on South Beach. Apparently things have gotten so bad that the town had to impose curfews. Many of the pictures show these young adults without masks and a couple have expressed their short sightedness in interviews with the news media. I think it's all so disappointing when I look back at the good times I had celebrating spring break in my younger days. COVID Vaccine - After waiting for my age group to be eligible, I got an appointment and finally got my shot of Moderna. I made sure I brought a magazine with me to read while sitting in the observation area and everything went pretty smooth. My second dose is scheduled for April 20th and I'm looking forward to getting it done. Our pool - When we moved into our house we found that our salt system for the pool was OOC. Getting it replaced finally moved up to the top of the "House to do" list and our pool company replaced it this week. Now if we can get the water to warm up so that we can actually get in the water. Jesus lizard - Speaking of our pool. Last evening my wife called me out back because a "jesus lizard" was in the pool. You know, the kind of lizard with a long tail that runs on it's back two legs. Anyway, it was looking pretty tired so I thought I'd just grab the net and get him out. I was amazed! I didn't know they could swim underwater. After a couple minutes I finally got him out of the water and on the patio surrounding the pool. It really must have been tired because it stayed motionless for about 10 minutes before taking off. I think that about sums it up for now, besides I'm actually at work and really should get something done today. Take care and have a safe weekend.
