Just Wondering

I was sitting there, and I was thinking about how the last year changed for everyone world wide. O thought about how schools are opening back up, and how the parents feel about it. One long year of virtual learning, and now school. That has to really work on parents and kids alike. So many working from home, I wonder do they prefer it that way or would they prefer going to a job everyday. So many things changed so fast. I wonder.

I’m thankful I retired in 2019. My job was at a non-profit that does time management assessment for school administrators, and with all of the schools shut down and on “virtual learning” for a year I certainly would have lost my job. For someone who goes on trips a lot I’m rather introverted (I go, but by myself instead of with a group of people). I can’t say that my life changed all that much with the shutdown. The worst thing was the emotional stress of having a positive covid diagnosis, even though I had no symptoms.

That was one thing, I worried about, when I thought I had symptoms, it worried me do bad, until I went to the emergency room.. It takes a toll on your mind.

Things changed so much, last year I wouldn't have thought we would spend the entire year locked up

I think most people would rather work from home. I know I would have if it had been a option before I retired.

Certainly our lives have changed in many ways. I'm glad I wasn't working or had young children when COVID hit.

I worked from home for just about a year and i do miss it but it's also nice being back in the office. I've been back for a month now - it's nice to somewhat socialize again with people.

My youngest daughter is working at home and has to be there for her 2 children who are distracted from their online classes.
