I don’t have much of a view now...

This sunset photo was taken yesterday, Saturday after work from my bedroom window. My childhood home. There used to be no buildings and i could see the sunset pretty well before but never truly appreciated it when i was a kid as I was busy playing outdoors. My hometown used to be not busy except on market day which is every Thursday. But now it’s extremely busy. A lot of new buildings, shopping centers here and there. So much has changed.

All the cities changed and they are no more as they used to be. The apartment of my mother has a park in front... I looked at the photos taken 60 years ago, the trees have grown so much now. At least there are only trees and not other houses.

@toniganzon Some Italian cities have grown too much and Milan is among those that grew more.

@toniganzon There are no new Malls in Milan, there is no free space to build, all the "shopping centers" are at the outskirt of the city. The house in the center at least are always the same, beautiful buildings, the stores are no more the same. Instead of elegant restaurants there are Starbucks and McDonald's!

I am wishing that I could go back when there are rice fields along the national road instead of buildings and parking lots

Can't really see sunset or sunrise from my house as well. We have trees blocking the view.

Trees are refreshing to the eyes though.

Same here. After 40 years my place has developed in to a commercial market. No it's tough to enter the car in the street in working hours.

I know what you mean. I haven't been to my hometown in years, bet I wouldn't reconize the place.

Yes, same here. They keep on building lots of groceries and malls. So much traffic now

We took a drive last month to my childhood home and saw the changes. It was very sad to see.

Beautiful sunset. By the way, I like sunset, especially if it's accompanied by a beautiful sky after the rain. Really awesome :)
