Hi guys, Hope you all are doing good. I am doing good too. A lot of people tells us follow your passion in life. I always wonder what it means!! Some people are passionate about singing, some of art, some of dancing, some of sports etc. However, it doesn't mean that what you are passionate about, you are good at it though. Not everyone's passion results in them being good at that particular stuff. However, many people are quite talented, their passion along with hardwork results in them being good at for that particular stuff. I hope I am making sense to you guys. For example, personally speaking I am passionate about singing and cooking, and actually I am good at it. It's not me who says it but people around me. It's very important to know along with having passion for something whether you are really good at it or not in order to pursue it further.

You have already answered your question. I can tell from my own experience that passion is not the only factor to bring me to be good at what I like. I also need talent, patience, it takes me time to make a progress in things. I think the passion itself, if it comes naturally, it is good, but, if I lose my passion, than I lose my motivation, I don't have interest in what I try to achieve. Can we build the passion itself ? I started learning kabbalah 2 years ago, with a lot of passion. I found myself thinking a lot about what is the purpose of life, about the golden rule, to love the others as loving myself. We had good dinners at the evenings, we sang songs together. Then, the corona came and we had to do the meetings through the internet. It became less fun, no food, no hugs, no closeness... Then, we learned that the morning lessons are at the middle of the night at almost 3:00 when I am mostly tired and sleepy. The passion went down. Where is the fun and what do I get out of it ? right? So, to overcome the lack of passion, we raise the importance artificially with giving examples: "Hi friends, I work a lot today, but, I still will be at the Zoom meeting as we have planed, because you guys are important to me", so I show that I love my friends, they want to do the same, they got good impression of my effort. We raise the importance of our goal this way artificially.

@Rashnag What do you think, can we make passion if we don't have it anymore ? If we think about a married couple, a husband and a wife, for several years they live together, they are used to each other, the passion is not as it's used to be at the start. What can they do ?

@stringer321 I don't know dear as I am single. I am sure there are ways and means a couple can ignite the same passion as before, one has to figure it out.

You can have passion as your relaxation and hobbies. But if you want to make it as a profession, you need much more than just being passionate about it. You need to be really good at at it and excel. Also it needs patience and hardwork and good planning and execution. I am passionate about art and craft along with cooking and gardening. I do cooking and gardening for my family. I have used my art and craft skills for conducting workshops, using art therapy and also selling my art and craft products.

My passion for gardening resulted in my doing business designing and executing landscaped gardens. Passion can be converted to lucrative business provided you are good at it.
