The pond now has water in it!

More progress has been made on our garden project - the pond has been lined and filled, and the bridge has had more work done on it. It all looks very bare and unfinished - mainly because it is bare and unfinished! However, it should all look very different when the grass has been laid and we have started to put plants in - both round the pond and in the borders. We visited the local garden centre on Saturday and made a long (and expensive!) mental list of what we want to put in!

What kind of life are planning on having in the pond? Guess it will depend on how deep it is

Frogs! We have long had frogs in an old flooded sandpit - they will love having a proper pond!

@indexer Excellent! I used to have frogs in my garden, but sadly they have all gone.

Part of me has long wanted a pond in my back yard, but another part of me sees me landing face down in it all the time. I’m excited to see your progress, and can’t wait for the finished project!!

The landscape gardener tells us that he spends more time removing ponds than putting new ones in! This job has been a refreshing change for him!

Yes. It will look good as soon as you get all the grass and plants put in there

I'm sure it will look really lovely once it's finished.
