Weren't Peter, Paul, and Mary just great back in the day. Back in 2005 I got out my guitar, my drum kit, and my recording software and out this little cover together.
It was always fun, and as I always do I always put my own little twist on it.
I hope you enjoy it. It is old, but it was still a lot of fun to put together. It has been a long time since I have done anything like this. Just not enough time, because it does take SOME time to put these things together.
But if people like it, I may do something new here real soon.

@porwest I agree with you 200%. I only listen to the oldies stations in the car.

@LindaOHio I always marvel that the music I listed to as a kid is now considered oldies. Ugh. It never ends. lol

I always have liked a lot of the older music. There's just something about it. So raw, so simplistic, but yet, some of the best music man has ever known, and I think music that will be timeless. We can't say that about a lot of the music after 2000.

@lovebuglena I bet if you heard the original you'd know it right off the bat.

I changed it up a bit from the original song tempo wise and otherwise. But I generally like to do that when I do covers. Some I try to mimic, others I try to put my own little "style" onto it. This one I definitely put my own little "style" onto, and if it it sticks in your head, you are welcome. lol

It's fun to be creative and yes to do a good job time consuming. Nice Job That drummer's got style!

@porwest Well, you just might have a fall back as an engineer in the studio. The tune's music was executed nicely with your vocals

When I do covers, a lot of the time I am not necessarily aiming to mimic the original song. I guess it is the creative side of me that wants to see what I can do to make it my own. Sometimes I will change the key, or change the tempo, or add my own little solo part. Sometimes it works well, other times not so much. But at the end of the day I really mainly do these for my own personal satisfaction of doing them, even though I do like to share. It's just a hobby for me, and I have a lot of fun with it.

Sounds like a lot of fun. Funny enough, in thease times, who actually wants to be on a plane?

I am right there with you. When we take a vacation in Florida in the pan handle later this summer I plan to drive. It's about a 12 1/2 hour drive and we will do it in two days, so it should not be bad. Although these days a lot of driving is horrible on my back. But I'd rather drive than fly right now.
