Hi! How's the evening going? It's Friday night for me, which means...WORK! Until 230am. Otherwise, I slept poorly today, did 1 Shipt order, didn't get to the gym like I had wanted to -but at the very least, got some organizing done and set up a new entertainment center.
I have absolutely zero travel plans until MAYBE July, I may go with family to North Dakota (Theodore Roosevelt National Park area - at least that's my interest, my mom and aunt want to go to some small town over there), and definitely in September to Key West.
This gives me time to focus on the full-time job, the part-time job, gig work like Shipt and Instacart, and paying off my car loan. Maybe I can even do that by July (might be wishful thinking, but you never know).
This week, I have been planning to get the following done:
+See if I can schedule my dad an appointment (he has no underlying health issues, but the state of MN just opened up vaccines to "everyone over 16" - but it's still dang near impossible to get an appointment it seems. I hear some open up after midnight, and since I am at work anyway, may as well try. He's one of those parents that I have to PARENT sometime, you know?
+training for the fire department
+planning and executing my job's "national appreciation week" in our industry with a zero budget and dealing with COVID-"friendly" activities and snacks. It has been a challenge.
+Instacart is running a promotion - if you do 12 orders before the 13th, you get a $200 bonus. I'd kind of like to do that, especially since I have only done one or two Instacart orders and not real familiar with it. Good practice and a decent sized bonus.
+Also on DAY 4 of calorie restriction and going strong! Somehow looking forward to weighing myself AND dreading it at the same time. LOL!
Just one more day of work this week for me and then I get 3 days off. Can't wait for it.
Got any plans for the week/weekend? Hope all is well.

@maezee My kids are not really that helpful! What can I expect...kids these days. Hubby helps a lot and I have a big sister living with me who is such a great help.

No plans this weekend for me. Hope you get your vaccination appointments. Good luck with instacart things and hope you make the bonus! You've got a busy schedule.

That is a good and long list. Well there are a few things that I have planned.
No travel plans as such as the situation is grim again.
May be I will catch up on some cricket action that is on here.

Wow, sounds like a busy time there with a lot going on! Wow, a $200 bonus if you do 12 orders before then? That'd be great. Hope your calorie restricting is still going well. I may need to try to just stick to 1200 calories rather than the carbs and see how I do. Not sure!

Yeah! I was in ketosis from being super low carb for a while and I transitioned in to just eating low calorie, low-ISH carb (like under 60g a day, probably) - still avoiding fruit, not eating bread/rice/grains, just more veggies, more smoothies, and less dairy and fats, I found it easier because in ketosis I wasn't feeling super hungry, and I am on day 5 of under 1,200 calories and I am a LITTLE hungry but not gnawing my own arm off like normal. So, maybe that's a way to approach it? But I know carbs directly affect blood sugar, but it might be worth a shot for a while!

@maezee Well that is good, never sure I ever got to that stage in Keto. Under 60 carbs is still really good, I believe. I couldn't imagine less dairy and fats lol....but if that works for you that is great. That's good to not feel as hungry in ketosis though....
Yes carbs definitely do, or at least foods that spike insulin....
