Fourteen Days to Freedom --- well sort of ---

Got my second dose yesterday. Feeling a bit tired today but otherwise, no issues on either injection. In fourteen days, (from yesterday) I will be fully immunized and can once again join the world. Of course, masks will still be needed, not so much for me, but for the people around me. (plus there is still a mandate on having one when entering any building here in Oregon. Our area has been seeing a major rise in new cases so, those mandates are not going anywhere for a while.) Haven't been here in a while so I thought I would pop in to pass on good news. I hope everyone here plans to get it when they can. It can only help to get everything back under control and back to some semblance of "normal."

Good to see you again, and I am so happy you are a believer in vaccines. Everyone in my family has received it and are done.

@DianneN My wife has had a few minor issues. All manageable.

That is definitely good news. I was relieved to get the second shot in February. Fortunately my job arranged for it. I guess about a quarter of the people have had it.

I was happy to be able to get it. Not so bad all told. The second shingles vaccine was ten times worse for me.

I suppose, for now, it is all we have. Who knows, in a few months we might have to get a booster to deal with these variants. I hope not, but...
