Happy Monday Everyone! It's a rainy day here today but I hope the sun is shining where you are.
I wasn't here all weekend. It turned out to be a busy weekend and it just flew by.
Today we're back to the same old same old.
I charged up my Fitbit over the weekend because I had stopped wearing it and now I want to get back into seeing how many steps I get a day. My goal is to increase my steps little by little and hopefully get a decent amount in on a daily basis. Since it's raining today, I'll have to get all my steps inside the house. That alone is a challenge.
Do you count your steps every day?
In addition to "gettin to steppin" I'm going to start a food journal because I want to drop some pounds that I put on this past year. Covid really shrunk some of my summer clothes
Before I get my day started I'm going to enjoy my coffee and chatting here for awhile.
What's happening on this Monday in your little corner of the myLot world?

My goal is to move more since I tend to sit more than I should. My knees are so bad that I can't walk as far or as long as I'd like.
Hopefully by increasing my steps I can get to a point where I can walk further than I can now.

We had a wonderful visit. My grandsons grew so tall
My daughter in law is having her surgery tomorrow on her shoulder. Its going to be an extensive surgery as she has a dislocated shoulder and torn ligaments. The doctor said her recovery will be about 12 weeks. Her mom is going to stay with them for awhile so I'm happy she'll have help.

@Marilynda1225 I hope that the family helps out with the chores that would normally use the shoulder, vacuuming, mopping, even making the bed. I wish her a speedy recovery.

@Juliaacv I'm sure they'll all pitch in to help
They are big helpers without poor mom being incapacitated

I haven't kept a food journal in quite awhile but I wantvto be more mindful of what I'm eating (calories, sodium, sugar)
Then I can make adjustments if need be

I'm sure there's an app for counting steps but I don't know what it is. I have my fitbit synced to my phone
Not necessarily dieting but being more mindful of what I'm eating. My first goal is to give up my snack after dinner. I love sweets

No. I don`t count my steps every day. I just do some night walk and if the weather is nice in the morning I also have some walk. Otherwise, I do some dancing exercise to help me out with losing some pounds

I do somethimes, but when I am walking, I always take the same route so I know about how many steps it is.

Doing the same route is a good way to know how many steps you're doing.

@Marilynda1225 A lot of times no. I have a routine down and much of the day to day is not really hard.

I like how you said covid-19 shrunk your clothes, lol.
It's not raining here yet but it might later. I got something taken care of to move the loan along. We're supposed to close wed but the loan people weren't answering the title companies inquiries so I had to reach out yet again. I had to get involved with two other things already. What we needed should be in our inboxes later today.
I work at two today, but will melt a bit or maybe nap a bit instead.

I guess some do register more than just steps (movement). I use mine as an indicator of how much I'm moving in the course of the day (give or take the amount it says I walked).

A Fitbit is a device that you wear on your wrist (like a watch) and it registers the amount of steps you walk and some also track your sleep patterns, heart rate, etc.
Hope you got your job report done
