I wish I could place emoticons in the title. I´d use the and the . All this has to do with my keyboard with no letters. I have not been able to buy another keyboard (if there is one) for my lap top. So I type an "i" instead of an "o" or viceversa. And I mix the n with the m and the a with the s. I try to edit but it is not enough. Fortunately some of my friends here accept me with the keyboard flaws. I never learned how to type without looking at the typewriter letters Letters that were black over a white background by the way. Sorry, sorry, sorry! I cannot do better. I only hope that just as I do my best to understand a foreign language (and a foreign language not always well written), you will have patience with me.

You have a lot of patience to do this Marguicha. Sorry to know it. It sounds very frustrating.

I have tried and they don´t have it. My eldest daughter sent her laptop to fix 3 months ago and they still don´t have it. I gave her money to buy a new one. She needs it for work.

When my mouse stopped working recently (and some of the letters on my keyboard became worn), I bought a Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard. There is a little thing which plugs into the USB port and both the mouse and the keyboard communicate with it and take the place of the laptop's keyboard and touchpad. I can now put the keyboard and the mouse anywhere convenient and type away to my heart's content! In fact, the mouse works well but the keyboard is clacky and cheap-feeling (though it works well enough) . With hindsight, I should have spent more than the $20 the whole set cost me. New keyboards for laptops cost an arm and a leg and require a technician to fit them, so this seemed to me a very fair and sensible solution.

@marguicha That is crazy! Here it is not too difficult to buy things online but local supermarkets are allowed to sell essential things like underclothes and sanitary goods, though there was a brief time (a day or so) when some stores interpreted the laws wrongly and refused to sell such things. Of course, there was a public outcry and they sorted it pretty quickly!

I want something like that but now it is difficult to buy those tjings in my country. Now during lockdown, only ssential goods can be sold. Booze is among them but you can´t buy underpants

It is. And the only way I could get a new keyboard now is by buying a new laptop.

They have external keyboards on Amazon I know for sure. Hubby needed one for his last laptop as some letters stopped working.
