I have a therapy session today, and unfortunately it is online. (It used to be in a big office with social distancing, temperature checks, masks etc etc), but it has been moved to virtual. And I am a little bit stressed out about this, because I know my family likes to try and listen, and I am also uncomfortable on calls. I am DREADING this. So any tips and suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Be up front and honest about how you feel about the video /virtual option. Ask if you have an option to return to in-person sessions. If your doctor says it's not an option, you have the right to ask them if they can recommend a therapist who's still allowing in-person visits. Make this the very first part of the conversation the moment you log on. Highlight all the points you posted, just like you have done here. As the person receiving the care, you are in control. You decide how your care is done. Don't let the doctor try to tell you otherwise, or let you feel that this is another "issue" to address. By law therapy sessions are supposed to be done in confidence, and if you're unable to put yourself in a private environment.... you have the right to request options.
