My dog always disappearing with my stuff especially my slippers

I have a dog at my house and let me tell you I cannot leave anything outside because of him. Couple weeks ago there was a mat at my doorway and he take it up on himself to bite it up and all of that and I can't even find the pieces and I don't even want to beat him because he is always my company whenever I am home alone so whenever I am home inside I'll take up my slippers or anything I have outside on the step and bring it inside

You know you can train your dog without having to be abrasive or boardline abuseive to them.

I know but its not really my dog I told the owner and he ties him up in his dog house

@Gracelipstick when he reacts bad tell him bad dog and when he does something good reward him with a treat, I think he will get the idea,

Bcoz your slippers have your smell and your doggie loves it. Try put them on top shoe cupboard where he cannot reach
